  • Kingston Police investigate assault with a weapon at a local shelter.

    On January 6, 2025, at approximately 8:50 a.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to a report of an assault with a weapon at a local shelter located on Cowdy Street.

  • Cyber Incident

    On January 3, 2025, the Kingston Police identified a network issue, which an investigation has since revealed to be a cyber incident. The incident has affected some of our IT systems, particularly our non-emergency functions, which may be experiencing delays. Kingston Police has continued to respond to emergency calls for service.

    Beginning in the summer of 2024 members of the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit began investigating an individual suspected to be attending Kingston for the sole purpose of trafficking illicit drugs.

    On Saturday December 28, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m. Kingston Police responded to the report of a stabbing at the bus transfer area outside of the Cataraqui Town Centre located at 945 Gardiners Road.

    An investigation which commenced in July 2024 has led to the arrest of an individual after it was discovered he had defrauded multiple individuals for a total of $150,000.

    The Kingston Police are investigating two recent incidents of a distraction style theft targeting senior citizens. 

  • Kingston Police Festive R.I.D.E. already nabs impaired driver

    The Kingston Police Festive R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) Program has commenced for the month of December, already resulting in an impaired driving arrest, plus suspension and other offences.

    Members of the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit have continued their efforts to combat drug trafficking, reduce public health risks, and prevent dangerous illicit drugs from reaching the community with additional seizures of fentanyl and cocaine.

    Over the course of the month of November members of the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit received information involving an individual actively involved in the sale and distribution of cocaine and crystal methamphetamine within Kingston.
