Investigation of Fire at Local Marina Update

On October 19, 2026, at approximately 2:45 a.m., members of the Kingston Police responded to a report of a vessel fire at a local business in the area of Wellington Street and Doug Fluhrer Park. During an initial search of the vessel, officers located a deceased individual.

Investigators have since confirmed the identity of the deceased, and next of kin have been notified.

At this time, investigators do not believe the death to be suspicious, and there is no indication of foul play.

Out of respect for the family’s privacy, the identity of the deceased will not be released.
