    On November 14, 2024, at approximately 12:30 p.m. members of the Kingston Police promptly responded to a report of an individual with a weapon inside Kingston Secondary School.

  • Missing elderly male safely located overnight

    On November 8, 2024, at approximately 1:25 a.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to a report of a vulnerable elderly male who had gone missing from his residence located in the downtown area of the city.

  • Kingston Police Recognizes Crime Prevention Week

    The Kingston Police are recognizing Ontario’s annual Crime Prevention Week, which runs from November 3 to 9, 2024. The week-long promotion of crime prevention is supported by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP), the Ministry of the Solicitor General, and police services across Ontario. 

  • Kingston male arrested for flying drone into Warkworth Institution.

    In September of 2024, investigators from the Kingston Police Intelligence Unit launched an investigation into a Kingston resident suspected of using a drone to smuggle drugs and contraband to an inmate at Warkworth Institution near Campbellford, Ontario.

    Members of the Kingston Police Traffic Unit are currently investigating a fatal collision which occurred over the weekend.

  • Accused charged with murder in relation to May 2024 incident

    A 32-year-old local individual was originally charged with criminal negligence causing death, failing to provide necessaries of life, and two counts of abandoning a child under 10 years old.

    As a result of further investigation by the Kingston Police Major Crime Unit the initial charge of criminal negligence causing death has been changed to second-degree murder.

  • Kingston Police Community Volunteers Pumpkin Patrol

    Chris Phelan, Coordinator, of the Kingston Police Community Volunteers (KPCV), says that Thursday afternoon approximately 16 volunteers will be out to patrol the streets.

  • Two arrests made this week by the Kingston Police Downtown Foot Patrol Officers have resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of street drugs and weapons.
