You should take the following steps before attending the Collision Reporting Centre:

• If it is safe to do so, remove vehicle(s) from the roadway
• Exchange information with the other involved parties, including independent witnesses
• obtain names, addresses, phone numbers, and insurance and vehicle particulars, including licence plate number
• If you are able to drive your vehicle, bring it to the Collision Reporting Centre within 24 hours during business hours
• Bring documentation with you including: Driver's licence, ownership, and insurance card
• The driver who was involved in the collision must attend with the vehicle

1. Property damage to vehicles in any amount, provided that the vehicle is mechanically and structurally safe to attend under its own power and no safety equipment has been rendered inoperative as a result of the collision
2. There are no injuries or minor injuries for which no one is required to be taken to a hospital for medical attention
3. There are no major or life-threatening injuries or fatalities;
4. No criminal activity is suspected (e.g., impaired driver, stolen vehicle, dangerous driving)
5. They do not involve a pedestrian
6. They do not involve a bicycle, limited-speed vehicle, motorized snow vehicle, or off-road vehicle
7. They do not involve a school bus
8. They do not involve a vehicle carrying dangerous goods
9. They do not involve a federal, provincial, or municipal vehicle
10. The vehicles involved are not blocking traffic
11. The involved parties are agreeable to attending the CRC in a timely manner
12. There is no damage to private, municipal, or highway property
13.  “Fail to Remain” incidents that have been discovered after the fact
