On January 17, 2026, at approximately 1:00 p.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division were conducting patrols in the area of 1600 Bath Road when they observed a vehicle idling nearby with two occupants inside.

On the evening of December 30, 2025, Kingston Police were called to Kingston General Hospital in response to an unidentified male patient who had died having suffered injuries that were the result of an assault.
Kingston Police are advising residents to take extra precautions while shopping this holiday season following a noticeable increase in thefts from motor vehicles. Investigations indicate many of these incidents involve packages and personal items left visible inside parked vehicles.
