The Kingston Police wish to remind residents that off-road vehicles, including electric dirt bikes, are prohibited from operating on municipal streets, sidewalks, community parks, trails, and pathways within the City of Kingston. These vehicles may only be operated on privately owned or occupied property where permission has been granted.

On July 31^st, 2026, Kingston Police Special Services executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of Wilson Street in Kingston.

The Kingston Police Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Unit, has concluded a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) investigation resulting in the execution of a search warrant and the seizure of crystal methamphetamine.

On August 1, 2026, at approximately 6:18 p.m., a member of the Kingston Police Traffic Safety Unit observed a male operating a motorized vehicle (in this case an e-scooter) in the marked bicycle lane in the area of Division Street and John Counter Boulevard.

The Traffic Safety Unit, in partnership with officers from the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO), conducted a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Enforcement Blitz in Kingston on July 22, 2026. 

On July 23, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 1500 block of Westbrook Road. The vehicle was observed dropping off two individuals who were wearing black masks.
