Quick Police Response Results in Arrests Following Weapons Incident

On September 2 at approximately 6:30pm, Kingston Police responded quickly to the area of Division Street and Garrett Street after receiving multiple reports from concerned members of the public regarding a disturbance involving several individuals and the suspected use of weapons.
Officers immediately attended the area, secured the scene, and launched an investigation into the incident. Acting on information provided by witnesses, police were able to quickly identify individuals believed to be involved and safely contain the situation. Through effective communication and de-escalation efforts, several individuals were detained without injury to members of the public, those involved, or responding officers.
Two individuals were charged in connection with the incident and were held for a bail hearing.
