Police seek public assistance identifying suspect involved in theft

The Kingston Police are seeking assistance identifying a suspect involved in a theft.

On March 31, 2026, at approximately 1:00 p.m. the suspect entered a grocery store located in the area of Princess Street and Barrie Street.

Once inside the suspect selected a number of products and attempted to exit the store without paying for the items.

Upon being confronted by store security the suspect became aggressive and assaulted the store’s loss prevention officer while attempting to flee.

The suspect is described as a white male with a brown beard. At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing a yellow and black ball cap, a red jacket, khaki pants and dark colored footwear. The suspect was also carrying a back pack and a green re-useable bag from the Dollar Tree.
