Motor Vehicle Collision on Bath Road

On June 27, 2026, at approximately 9:36 a.m., Kingston Police received multiple 9-1-1 calls regarding a motor vehicle collision in the area of Bath Road and Lower Drive. A vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle, causing it to go over a 20-foot rock cliff and land on its roof.
The driver was safely removed from the vehicle, placed under arrest, and transported to hospital with minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
As a result of the police investigation, a 24-year-old resident of Amherstview has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
While Kingston Police were responding to this incident, a separate collision occurred involving a Kingston Police vehicle and a civilian vehicle.
Kingston Police have notified Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU), which has invoked its mandate.
