Kingston Police seeking witnesses in Battersea Road collision

On September 22, 2026, at approximately 8:30 a.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to a motor vehicle collision on Battersea Road between Aragon Road and Downsview Drive.

A white SUV travelling north on Battersea Road was involved in an offset front end collision with a black SUV travelling south on Battersea Road.

The 37-year-old driver of the south bound SUV was pronounced deceased on scene while two passengers were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 40-year-old driver of the north bound SUV was transported to hospital where they remain with serious life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed either vehicle prior to the collision or who may have witnessed this collision or has video footage in the area to contact Detective Cerutti at jcerutti@kingstonpolice.ca

Investigators are also looking to speak to the driver of a small black hatchback that was travelling north on Battersea Road between Aragon Road and Downsview Drive at the time of collision.
