The Kingston Police Street Crime Unit (SCU) and Emergency Response Unit (ERU) have successfully executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant as part of a targeted drug trafficking investigation.
On June 17, 2026, investigators obtained a search warrant for a residence identified during the course of the investigation. The warrant was safely executed by ERU and SCU officers on June 18, 2026, in the area of Leroy Grant Drive and Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard.
As a result of the warrant execution, two individuals identified as the primary targets of the investigation were taken into custody without incident. Both were held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for June 19, 2026.
During the search of the residence, officers located and seized quantities of fentanyl and carfentanil. Investigators determined the apartment was being used to process and prepare these highly toxic controlled substances for distribution.
While the warrant was being executed, a third male attended the residence for the purpose of purchasing drugs and was also arrested at the scene. He was likewise held in custody pending a bail hearing.
In addition to the controlled substances, officers located several concerning items inside the residence, including a loaded crossbow, a concealed ballistic vest, and a disguised firearm designed as a credit card capable of discharging .22 calibre ammunition.
Kingston Police remain committed to disrupting the trafficking of dangerous drugs within our community and to preventing the circulation of substances such as fentanyl and carfentanil, which pose a significant risk to public safety. The successful execution of this warrant reflects the ongoing efforts of investigators to identify and hold accountable those involved in the production and distribution of illicit drugs.
