Police seek assistance in hit and run investigation

The Kingston Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter. The driver of the motor vehicle has been identified and charged under The Highway Traffic Act with fail to remain, plates unauthorized and fail to provide required information.

The Kingston Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a driver involved in a hit and run investigation.

On January 28, 2026, at approximately 5:30 p.m. the complainant and another driver were involved in a motor vehicle collision in the area of Princess Street and Sir John A MacDonald Boulevard.

The vehicle which struck the complainant’s vehicle is described as a silver 3rd generation (1996-2002) Toyota 4 Runner bearing British Columbia marker ‘WL7 93N’.

The driver of the vehicle is described as a South Asian male between the ages of 20-30 years old. At the time of the incident the driver was wearing a black North Face jacket and a green hooded sweater.
