Police request public assistance with identification

The Kingston Police are requesting the public’s assistance identifying a suspect involved in an arson.

On February 3, 2026 at approximately 9:05 p.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to a report of a fire being intentionally lit in an apartment building stairwell on Leroy Grant Drive.

Video surveillance footage was obtained which shows a suspect intentionally starting the fire at approximately 8:30 p.m.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, 30 – 40 years of age with short dark hair and a dark mustache. The suspect is a wearing a black jacket, a blue Toronto Blue Jays sweater, black cargo style pants, black fingerless gloves and black winter boots with either a red or orange tread.
