Police arrest individual for dangerous driving

On July 13, 2025, at approximately 11:45 a.m. received reports of a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner in the area of Bath Road and Portsmouth Avenue.

The vehicle, which also had a trailer attached to it, was reported to have been driving at high rates of speed, making improper turns and driving in a manner that caused it to strike another vehicle.

These actions placed the public in danger as there were pedestrians and other motorists using the roadway who were almost struck by the accused as well as the motorist who was involved in the collision.

Multiple units attended the area to search for the vehicle which was located at approximately 12:15 p.m. in the area of Johnson Street and Gibson Avenue.

The 68-year-old driver of the motor vehicle was arrested for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident. The driver was transported to Kingston Police headquarters and later released with a future court date.
