Police arrest impaired driver
On November 30, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division were doing proactive enforcement in the area of Bath Road and Days Road when they observed an individual exit a licensed establishment and get into the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle.
The officers observed the vehicle exiting the parking lot being driven in a manner that led them to believe the driver may be impaired.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver who was showing signs of impairment was arrested. The driver was transported to Kingston Police headquarters, and once there refused to provide a sample of their breath.
The 47-year-old accused from Kingston was charged with impaired operation and fail to provide breath sample. The accused was held in custody until sober and released with a future court date.
