25- 27859

In August of 2025, members of the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit launched an investigation into persons actively involved in the trafficking of fentanyl and other illicit drugs within the City of Kingston. As a result of the investigation a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant was obtained.

On Thursday, August 7, 2025, with the assistance of the Kingston Police Drug Unit, Emergency Response Unit and Canine Unit, the warrant was executed at a residence on Bagot St. Investigators located three people inside the residence one of whom was in possession of a loaded Taurus .40 calibre semi-automatic handgun. All persons found in the residence were taken to Kingston Police Headquarters and processed into custody.

A subsequent search of the residence resulted in the seizure of Fentanyl, Crystal Methamphetamine, and Canadian currency which was seized as proceeds from drug related offences.

A 45-year-old individual from Kingston along with two Young Offenders from the Greater Toronto Area have been charged with the following offences:

•    Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking ×2 (Fentanyl, Crystal methamphetamine)
•    Possession of Proceeds of Crime

One of the Young Offenders has also been charged with numerous firearm related charges.

The three accused were held in custody for a bail hearing.

This seizure underscores the continued distribution of fentanyl and other harmful substances into our community and highlights the risk posed by individuals targeting Kingston to profit from the addiction and suffering of others. The Kingston Police remain committed to identifying and arresting those responsible for drug trafficking and firearms-related offences within our city.
