Kingston Police Street Crime Unit Execute Warrant, Uncover Firearm and Illicit Drugs

25-31380

In August of 2025, members of the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit launched an investigation into persons actively involved in the trafficking of fentanyl and other illicit drugs within the City of Kingston.
As a result of the investigation a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant was obtained for a residence on Wilson Street, in Kingston.

On Tuesday September 2, 2025, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Unit and Canine Unit, the warrant was executed.

Investigators located several people inside, one of whom was in possession of a loaded Glock 19 9mm handgun. Two people found in the residence were taken to Kingston Police Headquarters and processed into custody.

A subsequent search of the residence resulted in the seizure of fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, a digital scale, cell phones, and Canadian currency which was seized as proceeds from drug related offences.

An 18-year-old individual from Toronto, and a 19-year-old individual from Oshawa were arrested and charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, cocaine) as well as possession of proceeds of crime. Additionally, the 19-year-old individual has been charged with numerous firearm related charges. They were transported Kingston Police Headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

This seizure underscores the continued distribution of fentanyl and other harmful substances into our community and highlights the risk posed by individuals targeting Kingston to profit from the addiction and suffering of others.
