Kingston Police seeking public assistance identifying theft suspect

Investigators with the Criminal Investigations Division are seeking the public’s assistance identifying a suspect who was involved in numerous incidents of “smash and grab” type thefts from a volume of parked cars in the downtown area.

The incidents occurred overnight on both February 14, 2026, and February 15, 2026, in various downtown parking lots.

The suspect is described as Caucasian with long brown hair, wearing a black three-quarter length jacket, light-colored boot-cut style jeans and beige boots. At the time of the incident the suspect was carrying a black and grey backpack.
