Keen eyed officer locates stolen vehicle

On August 25, 2025, at approximately 2:15 a.m. a member of the Kingston Police Patrol Division was conducting routine patrol in the area of 1600 Bath Road. The officer observed a car which had previously been reported stolen travelling west bound on Bath Road.

The vehicle which had been reported stolen on August 24, 2025, was stopped further down Bath Road and the four occupants located inside were placed under arrest by responding officers.

The 41-year-old driver of the vehicle from Kingston was charged with possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5000. They were transported to Kingston Police headquarters and later released with a future court date.

It was also determined that one of the passengers located inside the vehicle was bound by a release order which included an overnight curfew condition. 

The 38-year-old Kingston resident was arrested and charged with fail to comply with release order and breach of probation. They were transported to Kingston Police headquarters and held for a bail hearing. 

The remaining two occupants were released unconditionally.
