Individual facing charges in relation to multiple incidents.
A Kingston individual is facing multiple charges in relation to several different incidents all of which had been reported to police.
On June 23, 2025, at approximately 7:30 a.m. an unknown individual damaged a vehicle travelling on Portsmouth Avenue by throwing an object at the rear of the vehicle. The object struck the vehicle and caused damage to the windows on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Responding officers were provided with a description of the suspect and searched the area with negative results. Officers were able to obtain a photo of the suspect from a dash camera in the damaged vehicle.
On June 24, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m. members of the Kingston Police C.O.R.E Unit located the suspect in the area of 1011 Princess Street. The suspect was arrested in relation to the previous days’ incident.
At the time of the arrest the suspect was found to be in possession of a Trek bicycle which had previously been reported stolen as well as an American Express card which had been stolen from a vehicle on June 23, 2025.
Further investigation revealed the suspect was also wanted by the Brockville Police Service on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
The 44-year-old individual from Kingston was arrested and charged with mischief, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a credit card obtained by an offence. They were transported to Kingston Police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of recording serial numbers of valuable items as well as a reminder not to leave valuable items in an unattended vehicle.
