C.O.R.E Officers arrest male in possession of stolen motorcycle

25-21032

On June 20th, 2025, members of the Community-Oriented Response & Enforcement (CORE) Unit were conducting proactive patrol in the city’s north end.

Officers noticed an individual fuelling a motorcycle at a local gas bar which appeared to have a ‘homemade’ license plate attached to it. Upon noticing the officers, the individual attempted to leave the area on foot, leaving the bike behind.

Through the course of investigation officers determined that the motorcycle was on file as stolen. The individual was stopped a short distance away and arrested for possession of property obtained by crime. A search of the individual lead to the discovery of break-in instruments.

The 35-year-old individual of Kingston was charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of break-in instruments and two counts of breach of probation. They were transported to Kingston Police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

The motorcycle was returned to the registered owner in working condition.
