  • Joint Drug Enforcement Operations Lead to Significant Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Seizures

    A coordinated investigation led by the Kingston Police Drug Enforcement Unit, in partnership with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Central Hastings Community Street Crime Unit and the Peterborough/Northumberland Street Crime Unit, has resulted in multiple arrests and substantial drug and weapons seizures across several jurisdictions.

    A targeted drug trafficking investigation conducted by the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit has resulted in multiple arrests and the seizure of a significant quantity of illicit substances, including multi-coloured fentanyl and cocaine.

  • Individual arrested after threatening hotel staff

    On April 15, 2025, at approximately 9:45 p.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to a local hotel to investigate a report of an individual uttering threats toward staff.

  • Inmate arrested for introducing weapons, drugs and contraband into Collins Bay Institution

    In April 2025, investigators from the Kingston Police Intelligence Unit and the Correctional Service of Canada launched an investigation into a Collins Bay inmate suspected of orchestrating the introduction of contraband into Collins Bay Institution using drones. 

  • Charges laid in August 2024 homicide investigation

    On August 4, 2024, the Kingston Police began an investigation into the murder of Jordan Greene which occurred at 37 Cassidy Street. 

  • Driver charged with stunt driving

    On April 11, 2025, at approximately 1:05 p.m. a member of the Kingston Police Patrol Division was conducting an extra-duty in the area of Front Road and Lakeview Avenue. The extra-duty was to provide additionally road safety for a crew conducting work on sewer lines in that area.

  • Patrol members quickly locate stolen vehicle

    On April 12, 2025, at approximately 8:45 a.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division received a report that a vehicle had just been stolen from the area of Stephen Street and Patrick Street.

  • Kingston Police Special Services Execute Drug Search Warrant

    On Thursday, April 10, 2025, members of the Kingston Police Special Services Unit, with assistance from the Emergency Response Unit and Canine Unit, executed a judicially authorized drug search warrant at a residence in the area of Stephen Street and Montreal Street. The warrant was part of an ongoing investigation into active cocaine trafficking.
