Arrest made in theft of over $4000 in tools from construction site

On May 15, 2023 an officer observed the accused with a newer bicycle that was suspected to have been recently stolen. The bicycle was seized for further investigation and later confirmed to be the reported stolen bicycle.

 

On May 21, 2023 the accused climbed over a construction fence at a property near Sir John A MacDonald Blvd and Johnson Street. The accused cut through the locks of several storage containers and stole numerous tools valued at over $4000. Police reviewed security video and were able to identify the accused.

 

On June 9, 2023 shortly after 12:30 a.m. officers located the accused at an address on Princess Street. The accused was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he was held to attend a bail hearing.

 

A 29-year-old local individual was charged with possession of stolen property, break and enter, theft, mischief, and two counts of breach probation.
