Junior Chief for a Day

"What would you do if you could be the Kingston Police Chief for a day?"

If you’re a Grade 5 student in the city of Kingston, you could have the opportunity to showcase your great ideas to the community as the Junior Chief for a Day. 

To apply, applicants are required to write a 300–400-word essay on how they would make a difference in the Kingston community.

The winner will receive Kingston Police swag, a tour of the police station, and have the opportunity to meet and interact with members of the Kingston Police. The junior Chief will also have the opportunity to check out the inside of a police cruiser, visit our canine unit and take part in a media conference.

Essays can be emailed to Constable Valerie Hurding at police headquarters.

The deadline for essay submissions is May 31, 2024.
