Kingston Police seek public assistance in identifying theft suspect
25-93396
Kingston Police are seeking public assistance in identifying a theft suspect from a west-end business in August.
Video surveillance from the store shows the complainant entering a lone occupancy washroom, where upon leaving she forgets her cell phone that had a wallet case with various banking cards and identification.
The suspect enters the washroom next and upon exiting appears to be adjusting a rectangular object in the right rear pocket of her shorts. The complainant can actually be seen passing the suspect further down the hallway as she returns to check for her cell phone, but without success. This provided the suspect with exclusive opportunity to steal the property.
The suspect is described as female, Caucasian, 50-60 years of age, heavyset, with short, dark hair. She is wearing a purple t-shirt, denim shorts, and sandals. She is also using a wide-based cane in her left hand for support.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect is asked to email Sergeant Steve Koopman at skoopman@kingstonpolice.ca or leave a message via 613-549-4660 ext. 6186.
