The Records Unit is also responsible for performing local police records checks for pardon applicants. Pardon applicants must have a local records check performed by every police agency in whose jurisdiction the applicant has resided in the past five years. The cost is $35 (cash, Visa, Mastercard or ATM card).
Every pardon applicant must also be fingerprinted by a police agency (or authorized agent). The total cost is $60, with $35 allocated towards Kingston Police fees and $25 collected on behalf of the RCMP. (cash, Visa, Mastercard or ATM card).
