Police seek public’s assistance in assault investigation.



The Kingston Police are seeking the public’s assistance with an investigation involving an assault with a weapon which occurred over the weekend.


On Sunday, June 23, at approximately 2:00 p.m. two individuals were attacked by another person at Champlain Park. One of the victims was struck in the head with an object during the attack and suffered minor injuries.


The suspect, who was unknown to the victims, is described as a Caucasian male 20 years of age or older. The suspect was noted to be acting erratically through yelling and gestures prior to the attack.


The suspect fled on foot in the area of Leroy Grant Drive and Elliott Avenue. Investigators believe the suspect may have been present in the area for a period of time prior to the attack or may live in the nearby area.
