Law Enforcement Torch Ride returns to Kingston

For the first time in five years, the Law Enforcement Torch Ride is returning to the Kingston area to raise funds for Special Olympics Ontario.

Kingston Police are both proud and excited to organize and host the Torch Ride, which will be occurring on Saturday, June 8, 2024. Riders donate or fundraise to join the ride, where 100% of the funds raised will directly benefit the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ontario. This year’s slogan and hashtag for the Torch Ride is ‘Ridin’ for a Reason’ #RidinForAReason.

Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. on the south side parking lot of the Kingston Police station, located at 705 Division St, with easiest access at the intersection of Division St and Barbara Ave. Kickstands Up (KSU) will happen at 10:30 a.m., where a new scenic route from prior years will take riders out of Kingston, into Frontenac County, circling around Frontenac Park, with a barbecue stop in Westport near the halfway point.

Upon returning to Kingston the end of the route will bring riders to Spearhead Brewery Company, where announcements and prize giveaways will occur. The Ride is approximately 200 km long, with an anticipated return to Kingston around 3:00 p.m.

To participate in the Torch Ride registration fees are $35 for a single rider or $45 for a Two-Up. An alternative is to waive the fee if a participant can fundraise $100 or more. To register or donate please go to the following link through the Torch Ride website:
