UPDATE - Police Looking for Witnesses to Home Invasion Robbery

Kingston Police have charged two 19-year-old’s in relation to a violent home invasion robbery.
On February 16, 2018 at approximately 12:00 p.m. the two accused attended the victim’s residence while wearing masks and armed with a metal pipe and pepper spray. The robbery had been planned and the home had been specifically targeted. The assailants sprayed the victim in the face with pepper spray as they forced their way in, while a female in the residence fled to another room and called 911. The victim was struck over the head with a metal pipe during the robbery and suffered injuries requiring medical attention. The two accused managed to steal only one item of minimal value before fleeing in a vehicle.
Detectives in the Kingston Police Major Crime Unit began an investigation and were able to identify the two accused.
On March 8, 2018 detectives located one accused at his residence while the second accused turned himself in at police headquarters.
Both accused have been charged with robbery with an offensive weapon, break and enter, assault with a weapon, and have face masked with intent to commit an offence.

Police are investigating a targeted home invasion robbery that occurred at an apartment on Colborne Street on February 16, 2018 in the early afternoon. Two unknown suspects attacked a young male adult victim with pepper spray and a baton or club of some sort during this robbery. The victim suffered injuries to his head that required minor medical attention.
The suspects fled in a dark car travelling Eastbound on Colborne Street. The suspects were described as being disguised, but appeared to be of South Asian descent.
