Police Looking for Suspect Involved in Drive-Through Firearm Incident

Release Date: September 6, 2017

17-27291

On August 25, 2017 at approximately 5:45 a.m. the victim was behind the suspect in the drive-through of a restaurant at Division Street and Dalton Avenue. The victim honked at the suspect after he kept stopping and preventing the rest of the line from moving forward. The suspect and a female passenger shouted obscenities at the victim. The suspect then slowly pulled ahead to receive his order, and then slowly pulled ahead from the window and then parked by the exit.

As the victim pulled out of the drive-through the suspect exited his vehicle. The victim could smell a strong odour of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The suspect threatened to shoot the victim in the face and the victim observed the suspect holding a hand gun at his side. The victim quickly sped off and observed the suspect running after him while pointing and racking the firearm.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’6” to 5’8” tall, average to thin build, very short cut black hair, unshaven with a goatee and he spoke with an accent. The vehicle is described as a newer black midsized sedan with a personalized licence plate. A white female was in the front passenger seat.
