Release Date: January 8, 2018

A 35-year-old local woman has been identified and arrested for theft and assault after her image was released to social media.

On December 22, 2017 an image of the suspect was released to social media. As a result of the release, police received multiple anonymous tips as to the possible identity of the suspect. An investigation confirmed the suspect’s identity and verified she was the person captured on surveillance video.

On January 5, 2018 police located and arrested the accused. The accused was transported to police headquarters where she was later released on conditions with a future court date.

The accused was charged with two counts of theft, assault, and breach probation.
