Arrested: Local Man Wanted for Bank Robbery

On October 16, 2017 accused 52-year-old Michael James Behan was arrested by Belleville police. Behan was wanted for the CIBC bank robbery in Kingston on October 11, 2017. Kingston police officers attended Belleville and returned Behan to Kingston where he was held to attend a bail hearing the following day.
Behan is charged with Robbery.
52-year-old Michael James Behan of Kingston is wanted for robbery of the Bagot Street CIBC branch.
On October 11, 2017 at approximately 3:00 p.m. the accused entered the branch. The accused was carrying a duffel bag as he approached a teller. The accused allegedly had a knife in the bag and demanded money. The accused fled with a quantity of cash.
The accused was not located in the area and officers responded to his residence on Bagot Street. A warrant was obtained and members of the Kingston Police Emergency Response Unit conducted and tactical entry. The accused was not located.
