Two Men Caught in the Act of Break and Enter

A 28-year-old man and a 45-year-old man, both from Kingston, were caught in the act of a break and enter.
On December 6, 2017 at approximately 3:15 a.m. police responded to a report of suspicious activity at a compound on Lappan Lane. Officer responded and observed the two accused inside a fenced in area. Both men ran and jumped the fence, but were quickly apprehended in a ditch area just outside the complex.
During a search of a backpack belonging to the 28-year-old accused, officers found tools commonly used for break and enter. During a search of the 45-year-old accused, officers found a baggie of suspected crystal methamphetamine.
Both accused was transported to police headquarters where they were held to attend a bail hearing the following day.
The men were jointly charged with break and enter. The 28-year-old accused was additionally charged with possession of break-in tools. The 45-year-old accused was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance.
