Man Escorted off Bus then to Police Cell
Kingston Police were called by a bus driver who had concerns over a passenger who had been
drinking alcohol on the bus. Police arrived and spoke with the man who was not in a friendly mood. The officers called a taxi for him but he did not respond in kind. Instead, he began swearing at the officers and giving them the finger. When the officer attempted to arrest the man, he closed the taxi door on his leg. After a brief struggle, the man was arrested.
The accused was transported to police headquarters where he was held to attend a bail hearing the following day.
The accused was charged with causing a disturbance and resist arrest.
