Another Arrest Made in Relation to Dawn House B&E
A 26-year-old local man is fifth person to be arrested in relation to a break and enter at Dawn House Woman’s Shelter, located on Milford Drive
On April 18, 2017 at approximately 11:45 p.m. the accused was arrested at police headquarters and a large suitcase full of stolen tools was recovered.
The accused was held to attend a bail hearing the following day and is charged with break and enter, mischief over $5000 and theft.
On April 9, 2017 a break and enter occurred at the construction site of Dawn House Woman’s Shelter located on Milford Drive. Detectives began an investigation that led them to suspects at two different homes also on Milford Drive.
On April 13, 2017 Kingston Police executed search warrants on the suspect homes. A large volume of copper wire was recovered along with tools and other items believed to be stolen.
Three men ages 24, 32, 27 and one woman age 23 have been arrested. Charges are pending as officer’s sort through the recovered property.
