Kingston Police Community Volunteers - Recruitment Drive

The Kingston Police Community Volunteers (KPCV) are looking for a few good people. KPCV consists of 62 uniformed civilians that act as an extra set of eyes and ears for Kingston Police. While on patrol KPCV members watch for anything out of the ordinary and notify Police Communications over the radio so that officers can be dispatched. They also assist with Child Id, Child car seat clinics and they work with Kingston Police at over 80 special events each year.
On Saturday, September 16, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. KPCV will be holding an information session at Kingston Police Headquarters, 705 Division Street. Displays will be set up showing the many activities the volunteers are involved with. Applications will be available for pick up and/or completion on site and members will be on hand to answer any of your questions.
There is no cost to join or compensation for members of the KPCV, applicants must undergo a police screening check and have a valid G2 driver’s license. The only other restriction is that you must be 18 years of age or older. Members must commit to a minimum of 8 hours of patrol and attend one meeting per month.
