Man Charged with Arson after Starting a Fire Next to Building on Division St

A 30-year-old local man is facing a charge of arson after piling trash against the wall of a building and then setting it on fire.
On June 6, 2018 at approximately 11:30 a.m. the accused piled trash beside a large plastic bin that was against the north wall of an address on Division Street. The accused then donned a breathing mask, and proceeded to light the pile of fire. The accused put the fire and then left the area when residents began yelling at him.
On June 9, 2018 the accused was located and arrested. He was transported to police headquarters where he was held to attend a bail hearing the following day.
The accused was charged with arson, and breach probation.
