Detectives Identify and Arrest Suspect from Violent October Incident

On October 18, 2018 at approximately 9:30 p.m. the accused and victim were at a local hotel. The accused became angry with the victim and struck her in the mouth. The accused then started attacking her, demanded money and started to choke her. The victim tried to scream and the accused threatened her. The victim begged the accused to leave at which point he took her money and phone. As he was driving away, he tossed her phone out the window.


Update: December 3, 2018


On November 25, 2018 through the on-going investigation, Detectives were able to identify the accused as a 48-year-old Belleville man.


On November 29, 2018 Kingston Police located and arrested the accused at an address in Belleville. The accused was transported to police headquarters where he was held to attend a bail hearing the following day.


The accused was charged with assault, robbery, choking, harassment by threatening conduct, utter threat to cause death, utter threat to cause bodily harm, and theft.
