On February 12, 2020 shortly before midnight the male victim was standing in the living room of his north end Kingston residence when he observed two figures pass by his window. He looked out the window and observed the two accused male youths attempting to enter his vehicle, which was parked in his driveway. His vehicle’s doors were locked so the two accused youths departed on foot.

 

The victim exited his residence and attempted to confront the youths and advise them that he had contacted the police at which time one of the accused youths stated that he had a knife and would use it to cause the victim bodily harm.

 

Police responded and located the two accused youths in the area at which time both were placed under arrest. The accused youths were transported to police headquarters where they were later released on conditions with a future court date.

 

A 16-year-old local male youth was charged with uttering threats to cause bodily harm and attempt theft under $5000.

 

A 17-year-old local male youth was charged with attempt theft under $5000 and breach probation.
