Kingston Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect who threatened a Home Depot staff member after being confronted with stealing store merchandise.

At approximately 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2020 a Caucasian male, 30-40 years of age, approximately 5’10” in height, medium build, partial beard and wearing a dark jacket, brown pants, black and white running shoes, grey toque, and black backpack entered the Home Depot located at 606 Gardiners Rd. He was seen placing a Milwaukee tool into the backpack and attempted to leave without paying for the item.

When a store employee confronted the male he brandished what appeared to be a red Milwaukee utility knife and threatened to harm the staff member. He then joined a female and both fled northbound on Gardiners Rd on bicycles. The female was described as Caucasian, wearing a black jacket and green toque. Both bicycles appear to have been spray-painted black.
