Release Date: March 11, 2019

On March 9, 2019 the female victim was walking downtown when she observed the male accused walking towards her. The accused and victim had been in a relationship for three years starting in 2014 however were now separated. The accused approached the victim and began yelling obscenities at her. The accused then grabbed a carton of milk that the victim was holding and squeezed its contents onto her. The frightened victim left the scene and found a police cruiser nearby at which time she relayed to the officer what had just transpired.

The accused, who was already on court imposed conditions to remain away from the victim, was located nearby and arrested by police. The accused was transported to police headquarters where he was held to attend a bail hearing.

A 28-year-old local man was charged with assault and two counts breach probation.
