On the 10th of January 2022, members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division received a check welfare call to an address in the west end of Kingston. Initial information indicated that an 80 year old female had not been seen in several days.

Two uniform patrol members attended the residence and noted that all doors and windows appeared to be secure. Officers took the extra step to search the perimeter of the residence at which time one of the officers could hear a faint cry for help. The quick thinking officers breached one of the doors and located the 80 year old female laying on the ground. Officers quickly provided first aid with the assistance of regional ambulance.

It is believed that this elderly female had slipped down the stairs 4 days prior and was unable to call for help.  The elderly female was transported to Kingston General Hospital for a medical evaluation.
