Kingston Police responded to a call of a dog attack that resulted in a man being brought to hospital via paramedic with bite wounds to his hand and leg.

On March 26th, 2020 at approximately 9:45 p.m. the man and his wife were walking in the park area of Chestnut St and Carlisle St when a tan pitbull aggressively came running towards their own dog. The man stepped in between the dogs when he received the injuries.

Two women who appeared to own or be responsible for the pitbull gained control of it through a leash and muzzle in their possession. They refused to stay on scene or provide any of the dog’s medical information to assist with the man’s care, and were last seen walking up Chestnut St. They mentioned they may reside on Cherry St. They were described as being in their 50s, with one wearing a red bomber style jacket.

Kingston Police arrived on scene and checked the area but were unable to locate the two women or the pitbull. Anyone with information that may assist in identifying the women or locating the dog in question is asked to call Kingston Police at 613-549-4660 and refer to report #20-11323.
