On February 7, 2019 the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit obtained a search warrant for an apartment on Leroy Grant Drive, in relation to drug trafficking. 

At approximately 1:45 p.m. the Kingston Police Emergency Response Unit made entry. As the officers entered the apartment, the accused threw a bag of drugs out his window. The bag containing over 41 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine and oxycocet pills was seized by officers watching the window. 

The accused was arrested and during a search of the residence, officers found and seized over $8000 in cash, a weigh scale, and dime bags. Officers also seized stolen property including laptops, camera equipment, and various power tools. 

The accused was transported to police headquarters where he was later released on conditions with a future court date. 

A 50-year-old local man was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime.
