Kingston Police had 148 calls for service during the 24 hour period starting from 5:00 a.m. on January 13, 2020. Of these, 111 calls occurred in the city central area, 25 in the west end, 5 in the east end, and 2 north of Highway 401. Some of these included:

  • 2 assault calls
  • 2 sexual assaults
  • 3 harassment calls
  • 6 undesirable calls
  • 3 alarm calls
  • 1 neighbour dispute call
  • 5 noise complaints
  • 2 missing person calls
  • 5 Mental Health Act calls
  • 2 medical assist calls
  • 14 assist citizen calls
  • 2 break and enter calls
  • 15 theft calls
  • 1 shoplifting call
  • 1 theft of vehicle call
  • 2 mischief calls
  • 1 fraud call
  • 9 motor vehicle collisions
  • 1 parking/vehicle complaint
  • 7 driving complaints
  • 12 suspicious activity calls
  • 1 trespass/prowler call

 

There were 5 individuals arrested within the last 24 hours including 4 men and 1 woman, between 27 and 45 years of age, for the following: breach recognizance and three counts breach probation.
