Anyone interested in applying for a new constable position with Kingston Police is invited to attend stage one of the recruitment process at Kingston Police Headquarters.

All sessions will take place from 10:00 am to noon at Kingston Police Headquarters, 705 Division St. in the Community Room on the following dates:

  • February 8
  • February 22
  • March 7
  • March 14
  • March 28 - POSTPONED due to COVID-19
  • April 4 - POSTPONED due to COVID-19
  • Future sessions will be posted once available


Police Constable candidates who have received their confirmation will be asked to bring the following documentation:

  1. Resume and cover letter
  2. Completed Constable Selection application form
  3. Current/valid copy of OACP certificate
  4. Valid photo identity card

This will be a 2 hour written session including the pre-background questionnaire and local assessment.

To be eligible to attend please follow these steps:

  1. Create an online profile and apply to the Police Constable – New Recruit posting.
  2. At a minimum, applicants must have uploaded to their application file a completed Constable Selection application form Constable Selection Application Form, cover letter and resume. A complete package is preferable.
  3. Once you have applied, send an email to the Director of Human Resources. Please type “New Recruit Registration – (include date you wish to attend)” in the subject line of your email. Upon receipt of your email, your application will be reviewed to ensure all required documentation is uploaded and your registration for the event will be confirmed via email if you are selected to attend.
