Kingston Police had 99 calls for service during the 24 hour period starting from 5:00 a.m. on February 20, 2019. Of these, 76 calls occurred in the city central area, 15 in the west end, 5 in the east end, and 3 north of Highway 401. Some of these included:

Male arrested after punching female neighbour

On February 20, 2019 in the early morning hours a neighbour dispute occurred at a downtown apartment complex between the male accused and female victim. The two had had previous disagreements with each other and on this date a verbal argument began over ongoing noise issues. On February 19, 2019 at approximately 5:00 p.m. an argument began between the male accused and female victim at a downtown coffee shop. The two had been in a relationship for eight months and had been having ongoing issues. The argument continued as the accused walked with the victim to her residence.
